RE-SIZING (& OTHER QUESTIONS)

Some frequently asked questions...


1. CAN I VISIT YOUR WORKSHOP?

Our London Workshop is not open to the public for any viewings or dropping off jewellery or any other reason. All items must be posted if returning for resizing etc... This is because of security and insurance reasons and is not negotiable. We don't keep any ring samples at our London Workshop. Many apologies if you are local to London.

Items can be dropped off in person at our Isle of Wight showroom if preferred, during opening hours only.

2. WHAT IF I ORDER THE WRONG SIZE?

We strongly advise that you visit your local jeweller to find your correct finger size (make sure you are sized with the correct width ring as the wider the ring, the tighter it will feel).

If however the ring doesn't fit you once its arrived, you can return it to us for resizing. We can't guarantee that your ring can be re-sized if it is more than two sizes up or down, so please double check before purchasing if you feel that this may be a problem.

Resizing costs as follows:

Plain & Horn Texture Court ring - £15

Engraved/Carved and all stone set rings - £40

Please note that this does not include delivery cost to and from our workshop (sorry, dropping off to our workshop is NOT permitted, see above), so if your ring has to be couriered overseas, we will have to charge for that also. Please contact us for details.

Some rings can be easily resized with most jewellers nearer to you, but check with us first before you order.


2B. CAN I ORDER A RING IN US or EURO SIZE, or half size?

Yes we can make directly to US and EURO sizes (conversion charts do vary so best to avoid). You can place the order in the nearest UK size and then add your correct US or EURO size in the 'INSTRUCTIONS TO SELLER' box on the Paypal Checkout page. The size MUST be within the same size range as specified on the item description. 

We can also make UK half and quarter sizes if they are not listed, just follow the same instructions as above.

3. THE DIAMOND RING I AM INTERESTED IN IS MARKED AS SOLD OR SOLD OUT, CAN YOU MAKE ANOTHER ONE FOR ME? 

Unfortunately we can't make any diamond rings to order, as all the diamonds are slightly different, and so all the rings will look slightly different to the photo of the ring that sold. We therefore only make diamond rings as pre-made rings (one-offs). So the ring in the photo online is the ACTUAL ring that is for sale. We usually make similar ring styles but we don't have any schedule of when they will be ready and available online, so we will announce new items on our Instagram/Facebook and Blog to be fair to everyone. We try to keep our online shop/shop with a good range, so when one sells we usually will make something similar to replace it. However, you may have to be quick to purchase, especially around Xmas and Valentines.

I'm sorry we don't hold or reserve jewellery for customers.


4. DO YOU MAKE BESPOKE/CUSTOMISED OR ALTER JEWELLERY DESIGNS?

Unfortunately, due to our turn over and manufacturing set up, we don't offer any of these services. The only items we offer for sale are the ones as they are shown and described on our website (and not listed as SOLD). Many apologies for this.


5. I WANT TO BUY A RING FOR MY GIRLFRIEND/WIFE/BOYFRIEND BUT I DON'T KNOW THEIR SIZE, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

We suggest asking her/his parents or friends, or find a ring that she/he wears on the same finger for us to measure. However, its much better if you can propose with a cheap ring and buy the proper ring 'together' so that she/he can have their finger measured properly at a jewellers.
We can only re-size a ring a couple of sizes larger or smaller, this costs either £15 or £40 depending on style.

 

6. CAN I BUY AN ITEM ONLINE AND THEN COLLECT IT FROM YOUR WORKSHOP?

We are sorry, but all online orders will be dispatched as stated in the 'terms & conditions'.
It is not possible to arrange collection from our workshop.

 

7. DO YOU DO NEXT DAY DELIVERY?

Unfortunately we cannot send items for next day delivery. Apologies for this, most jewellery items will be dispatched within 3 working days and wedding rings between 6 - 8 weeks {unless otherwise stated on the item description}.

 

8. THE ITEM ON YOUR SITE IS SOLD OUT, WHEN WILL IT BE IN STOCK?

We hand make all of our jewellery right here in London. We make small batches at once as we change designs often. Usually we will re-stock as and when we have the time, if we have a definite date when items will be in stock, it will say so on the item title in the online shop,
if it doesn't, then we don't know if or when they will be in stock again.

Wedding rings are made to order so they do not run out of stock. Diamond rings are one-off pieces, so only one will ever be available due to irregular nature of the stones.

 

9. I WANT TO ORDER A WEDDING RING OR WHITE DIAMOND RING IN A DIFFERENT METAL, IS THIS POSSIBLE AND HOW DO I ORDER IT ONLINE?

Due to a high turnover, we are now only selling rings that are listed online.

We no longer take requests for different ring widths or metals, other than the ones you can find in our online shop.


10. CAN YOU ALTER/REMAKE/RECYCLE MY DIAMONDS/JEWELLERY/RING?

We are very sorry, but we only use our own materials and make to our own designs. We only engrave our own jewellery. This is our very strict company policy.


11. CAN YOU MAKE A WEDDING RING TO FIT AGAINST MY ENGAGEMENT RING?

We don't generally recommend wearing rings together as they can wear against each other causing damage to the stone setting, which could cause your stone to drop out. It is advisable to wear them on different fingers unless you really don't mind taking the risk. 

If you would like to wear two rings together then we would advise that it is the same metal and is a lightweight band (2mm or 2.5mm) there are size limitations for lightweight rings. 


12. I WANT TO BUY A NECKLACE BUT I WANT IT TO BE SHORTER, CAN YOU SHORTEN IT FOR ME?

Yes we can make most necklace chains shorter {with a few exceptions}. Simply contact us before you purchase, stating the desired chain length. We will then let you know if it is possible.

We are sorry but we cannot make necklaces longer than the stated length.

 

13. THE 'OPAQUE DIAMOND RING' I WANT DOESN'T HAVE MY SIZE OPTION, CAN YOU MAKE IT LARGER/SMALLER?

Unfortunately we can only re-size the ring according to the specific sizes listed on the items page.

 

14. I WANT TO BUY THE 'OPAQUE DIAMOND RING' THAT IS SOLD OUT IN YOUR SHOP.

All of our Opaque Diamond rings are ONE OFF pieces that will be re-sized to your order {within the listed size range}. When one has sold, you will not be able to buy the same ring again, however we may make some similar in the future, but they will probably be a different price according to the size and quality of the diamond.

Opaque diamonds are all irregular cuts and colours, unlike traditional white diamonds. If you see the one you love, BUY IT QUICK!

 

15. DO YOU HAVE MORE JEWELLERY AVAILABLE AT YOUR WORKSHOP?

No, we only sell online from UK or from our showrooms. All of our available stock is shown in our online shop.

 

16. I SAW SOMETHING I WOULD LIKE TO BUY ON YOUR JAPANESE SITE, CAN I BUY IT FROM LONDON?

You can purchase the item directly from the Japanese website. Unfortunately we can't ship items back to the UK and then onto the customer due to tax and duty.


17. CAN I HAVE MY ITEM SENT TO A DIFFERENT ADDRESS?

We are sorry, but we will only dispatch items to the postal address that is given by Paypal. This is for security and insurance reasons. Your address will come up on the Paypal checkout page, please take a few moments to check everything is correct before confirming the payment. If the address is not the correct one we will need to cancel the order so that you can amend the address and re-order.


18. I CAN'T GET THROUGH TO RUST ON THE PHONE!

Apologies for this, basically we have no receptionist and as we are generally out of the workshop or shop, or using loud polishing equipment, we may miss your phone call.

We never listen to voice messages as it would take us all day, email is a much quicker way to get hold of us as all emails go straight to our mobile phones wherever we are!
